meet our farm family
The Farm on Main is more than just a rustic wedding venue in NJ—it’s a labor of love built by our family. Tom and Jess Scangarello, Long Beach Island locals and owners of Bay Ave Plant Company, purchased this 20-acre property in 2016 to support their business's composting and storage needs. They renovated the iconic “Little Blue House” on the property, turning it into a warm and welcoming home for their family. Today, that same beloved building is The Farmhouse, our bridal suite where countless couples prepare for their big day.
After hosting private weddings and events for friends and loved ones, Tom and Jess felt inspired to share their land with the community. In September 2023, The Farm On Main officially opened its doors, and since then, we have hosted over 50 weddings and events, becoming an exclusive NJ wedding venue where unforgettable memories are made. Here, love stories take root and flourish—just as it has for our family.

Marcela is our Lead Wedding & Events Coordinator at The Farm on Main. She brings a wealth of experience from her time working in public relations with powerhouse beauty and fashion brands including J.Crew, Maybelline, Target, and David’s Bridal. Since joining our Farm family, she has been the heart and soul of seamless event execution. Whether it’s an intimate social event or a full-scale wedding, Marcela’s ability to juggle countless details with grace and her ever-present smile ensures every event feels as special as the love stories and milestones they celebrate.
A natural problem solver with an eye for detail, Marcela goes above and beyond to make each occasion unforgettable. From orchestrating vendor relationships to managing client communications, she’s the calming force behind the scenes - transforming complex logistics into effortless experiences. Marcela firmly believes that the best celebrations begin with exceptional plans—and she’s here to make sure your day at The Farm on Main is both extraordinarily fun and an experience that you will never forget.

We can fit up to 200 seated guests inside of The Forsythe Barn. Weddings between 200-250 guests (for a seated dinner) and weddings over 250 guests (for a cocktail-style reception) can also be accommodated with the placement of a tent next to The Forsythe Barn for a seamless indoor/outdoor experience (tent fee not included).

Sunny Rae's At The Farm (catering) and Set The Bar (bar service) are both exclusive and required vendors at The Farm on Main. Additionally, liability insurance is required in order to host an event in any of our spaces as well as a shuttle service, if you anticipate having over 65 cars parked in the lot during your event.
