A DOG NAMED MOOSE, MERCH, AND MARRIAGE
Robyn's bridal party got the day started in matching white ruffled robes on The Farmhouse porch, and before hair and makeup even started, someone had already cracked open the rosé. Eight bridesmaids, a lot of laughing, and more than a few toasts to the bride before she'd even zipped into her dress. Down at The Loft, Chris was spending the morning with his guys in a classic black tux, his dad fixing his boutonniere and giving his bow tie one last check before sending him off.
Somewhere in between all of that was Moose. Their goldendoodle had his own bow tie for the day and was clearly aware of his role in the proceedings, trotting around getting his portrait taken like he'd done this before. He walked down the aisle later, and at one point mid ceremony he simply laid down in the grass, entirely unbothered by the vows happening a few feet away. Nobody seemed to mind.
The first look happened to the side of the pond surrounded by pines, and Chris's reaction was the real thing, hands clasped, grinning before he'd even really seen her yet. Robyn came around in a strapless satin ballgown with a pretty little veil, simple in the best way, carrying a loose bouquet of white blooms and greenery from Wildflower Florals. The two of them spent the next stretch of the afternoon posing against the grapevines draped over the Starlight Barn's red doors with their wedding party, their families, and Moose, who made it into more formal portraits than most guests did.
The ceremony took place right at the edge of the pond, with the aisle lined with tall urns of white florals. Robyn's brother officiated, keeping it short and sweet, and by the time Chris dipped her for the kiss at the end, the whole crowd had come up out of their seats.
Review goes here!
Cocktail hour happened outside on the patio and dinner moved into The Forsythe Barn, strung with market lights and hung with greenery along every beam. The tables mixed white florals with fresh pears, green apples, and cute beige lamps. Over by the bar, a ruffled sign announced it as Moose's Bar, his own illustrated portrait propped up nearby. Near the entrance, guests could grab a custom hat, a bandana, sunglasses, or a sticker off the Hoop shelf themselves, no assigned favors, just a table of good stuff worth taking home.
Above the stone fireplace, a frame spelled out THE FOWLERS over Robyn and Chris's sweetheart table. Near the bar sat the desserts, where a small sage green Just Married cake sat next to trays of blondies and cream puffs from Sweet Melissa Goodness. And after Robyn and Chris danced their first dance as husband and wife, Alyssa and Silas gave heartfelt maid of honor and best man speeches.
Partway through the night, Robyn changed into a simpler slip style gown, the kind actually made for dancing in, and dance in it she did. The floor stayed packed well past dark, the bar never slowed down, and the DJ and sax player didn't let the energy drop once. By the end of the night it was clear this wasn't a wedding trying to look a certain way. It was just Robyn and Chris, throwing the party they actually wanted, dog included. Wishing you both a happy farm forever after!
