August Light, FIREBALL, and a Day That Delivered

Lexi started her wedding morning with her ladies at The Farmhouse and ended it with a first look with her dad out on the porch. Then, in one of the best turns of events we've ever seen, she headed to The Starlight Barn to do Fireball shots with the groomsmen before the first look. That about covers the range of the day.

Her pearl-beaded gown was the kind of thing you notice immediately and keep coming back to, and the loose wildflower bouquet in pink, yellow, and orange was a nice contrast to all that structure. Matt got ready with his guys in The Loft and was waiting in a classic black tux at The Starlight Barn when Lexi came around the corner. The grapevines overhead and the red barn doors behind them made for a pretty perfect setting to see each other for the first time.

They were incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating leading up to the wedding, and made sure everything went perfectly on the big day. It allowed us to relax, enjoy ourselves, and actually be present with all of our family and friends.

After portraits it was time for the ceremony in The Greenhouse. In August, with that light coming through the sides and the hanging lanterns overhead, it was perfect. Lexi walked in on her dad's arm and Matt watched from beneath the arbor. His reaction was priceless. They said "I do," walked back up the aisle hyped up and married, and of course he dipped her halfway down. Their guests were already on their feet!

Next, the best hour: cocktail hour, with a martini bar to sweeten the deal. Guests enjoyed martinis, apps, and good company before heading into The Forsythe Barn, where Lexi and Matt were introduced for the second time as husband and wife. First dance, parent dances, speeches, and a plated dinner their guests enjoyed every bite of. Then the party began!

While everyone hit the dance floor, Lexi and Matt slipped out for sunset photos near the stable that we are still talking about. August light on this property is genuinely something else, and those photos prove it! They came back in, cut the cake, and then Lexi reappeared in a fringe slip dress with a drink already in hand. The dance floor had been waiting.
